My Story

Before Flow & Frequency became a business, it began as my own journey home.

Hi, I’m Tamar.

I’m the founder of Flow & Frequency, but before this became a business, it really began as part of my own journey home.

For nearly three decades, I worked in healthcare and clinical research. I spent years supporting people and families through some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives, and later leading complex programs and teams in high-pressure environments. I learned a lot about caring for people, leading people, and getting things done. I also learned how easy it is to spend your life doing, achieving, caring for everyone else, and moving on to the next thing without ever really stopping to ask yourself what you need.

My own life eventually made that harder to ignore.

I’ve experienced profound grief, major life transitions, and the unraveling of identities I once thought defined me. There were times when I didn’t know exactly what came next. What I began to understand was that I didn’t necessarily need another answer. Sometimes I needed enough space to get quiet, settle, and hear myself again.

That has become a big part of what I believe now. I don’t think people are broken and I don’t believe it’s my job to fix or heal anyone. I believe there is already so much wisdom within us, but it can be incredibly hard to hear when we are constantly doing, reacting, achieving, caring for other people, or simply trying to keep up with life.

That’s really where Flow & Frequency came from.

For me, creating space can look different depending on what someone needs and where they are. Sometimes it’s sound. Sometimes it’s breath, movement, stillness, grounding, reflection, or simply permission to stop doing for a little while. I bring those practices together to create restorative experiences for individuals, groups, retreats, events, and organizations.

The setting may change, and the experience may look different, but the intention underneath it is the same: to create enough space for people to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and remember what they already know.

I’ve come to believe that people don’t need fixing. They need space.

And my role isn’t to heal anyone. It’s to create the conditions where restoration becomes possible.

Experience Meets Intention

My approach brings together nearly three decades of experience in healthcare and clinical research with training in practices that support restoration, awareness, and connection.

As a Certified Sound Therapist, 200-Hour Yoga Teacher, and Reiki III Practitioner, I draw from sound, breath, grounding, mindful movement, stillness, and guided awareness to create experiences that meet people where they are.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach. A restorative experience for athletes after hours of play may look different from an integration session during a transformational retreat, a reset for a team navigating a demanding workday, or a private experience for someone simply needing space to reconnect.

The setting may change. The tools may change. The intention remains the same:

…to create space for people to settle, reconnect, and return to what comes next with greater presence.
